Fall Trends

I cannot believe Fall is almost here! Seriously summer went by way too fast.

When I think of fall, I envision browns, deep reds, burgundy, varying shades of yellow, orange, and black. These are the typical fall colours we see in the landscape and are often in Fall & Winter Collections.

So Current Fall Trends:

1. Monochromes are trending. Stella McCartney’s collection had many differing shades of green.
2. Belted or fitted waists are also trending on the runways, and remain a strong trend, as the new year approaches.
3. Statement sleeves, whether bishop style, bell sleeves, and balloon sleeves are very classic, yet still trending and I expect to continue in the next few years.
4. Dark moody florals, can be seen in Marc Jacobs and Prada.
5. Power suites, are a staple, but are trending this fall and winter.
6. Long flowing coats are everywhere, you can find them in the Chanel, Oscar de la Renta and Max Mara collections. Capes are also an extremely versatile piece that are long and flowing.
7. Chains are big when it comes to accessories, whether it be necklaces, bracelets, belts, and can be used as a statement piece in your wardrobe.
8. For fabrics, wool and tweed, are the traditional Fall & Winter favorites, but fleece, and velvet are also trending.

The beauty of fall are the endless layering options, as the temperatures vary, whether it be with a cardigan, blazer, or coats.

My fall favourite, is a hot cup of hot chocolate cozying up with a good book, and a soft blanket.
